About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Do I need tourist or Transit visa ?

I am Indian passport holder and I have USA Green card too. I am visiting Delhi (India) from Los Angeles (LAX) through Sanghai Airport (PVG).

I have 20 hrs stop over at PVG. Now my question is do I need visa if I want to stay in the hotel outside the airport ?

Do I need one if airline provide the hotel outside the airport ?

Visa is required if you want to leave the airport. You can confirm this again with your airline if they will handle a stay permit for this transit.

Airline provide me the Hotel which is out side of Airport. Now let me know, do I need transit or regular visa to come out from airport and stay in hotel.

Visa is not necessary, you can apply for a stay permit at the airport with your passport, flight ticket and hotel reservation.
