About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

When should I do visa extension within China?

Sir I am Sri Lankan writing to you from shanghai I'm married to my Chinese girl from Sri lankan and currently holding 6 months family L visa which will expire on the 5th of June. Kindly I want to know that if I come before it expired is it possible for me to reapply even if there is still month ahead for its expiration ? As myself and my wife want to come on the first week of April because our sister and family coming from UK to celebrate Sri lankan New Year we like to join with family . If I am write I was thinking its not a problem as my visa already will expire even if I come early before June because anyway I have only 1 entry which means I can't go back again without reapplying am I right Sir ?

Urgent please !

Thank you Sir and Staff.

Yes, you are right, you can apply for an extension any time before your visa expires. If you need to return, you can extend L with 01 entry.

By the way one more question please if you don't mind. I have Sri Lankan marriage certificate which I have Translated to English and certify from the Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry too and already submit the English one when I was getting the Chinese family visa for the first time. What I want to know is it possible to translate to Chinese from Chinese Embassy Sri Lanka ? Or it have to be done from my wife born place which is Dalian ?

What will you do with the Chinese version of your marriage certificate? I don't think it is within the service scope of the China embassy to translate it for you.

Hi Arthur thanks for your reply . Well I like to keep Chinese translated as it is very good because china everything is Chinese so certificates such as Marriage certificates is important to keep in Chinese which means its certified from China. But I do know I can get it from my wife born place Dalian she told me , because we dont go there just for that currently living in Shanghai so if its possible to translated from the Embassy anyways thanks Arthur I will confirm it from embassy which is straight forward. :)

Cheers!
