tour of china from south to north.

Question

I'm Alejandro L. Uy. My Chinese name is Huang Wen Han. I finished my junior high school chinese education in Davao Chinese High School in Davao City. I'm now 52 years old. I'm teaching putonghua at the University of Mindanao for accountacy students. Sad to say is that my blood composition is 3/4 Chinese and yet I have not toured China intensively so that i can share an overview of china's beautiful places and may improve my teaching skills in teaching our Mandarin language effectively to my Filipino students through interacting with the native Chinese of China while touring my father's birthplace which is  China. My wish is to be able to travel from xiamen, pass by my father's birthplace which is Shishan, Nan'an, Fujian, then i don't  know what place to follow. I'm writing this for your suggestion. I planning to be a backpacker, ride only the economical transportation and live in an economical dormitories. I wish you could help me.

Generally speaking, you can take trains or long-distance buses to travel, if you want to take economical transportation.For the economical domitories, there are many economic hotels such as Home Inn and Hanting Hotels are suggested for you. You can find many branches in many cities, which may be your best choices.For your trip, you can first reach Guangzhou and then to Xiamen. From there, you can reach Shishan, Nan'an. Since you arrive in Fujian Province, I can suggest you some wonderful attractions in this province such as Wuyi Mountain and Earth Towers of the Hakkas.
