Is there a train from Shanghai to Nanchang?

I am in Nantong, Jiangsu. I will start a new job in Nanchang. I first need to go SH to register visa change and then return to Nantong for more of my things. If you have suggestions, I'm all ears. My goal is to keep my cost low so that I may travel abroad for winter holiday.

From Nantong to Shanghai, the best way is to take the direct bus from Nantong Bus Terminal. They operate from 10:30 to 19:40 everyday and the ticket fare is around 57 RMB.
From Shanghai to the city you want to go, the best way is to take bullet trains from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, which will cost you about 6 hours and a half to reach NC and the ticket fare is around 239 RMB for the second class seat. The direct bus cost about 12 hous and 268 RMB.
