Ox & Monkey are a difficult mix. I would not suggest it, yet opposites attract, as it did for myself.
I married a Monkey (I am an Ox) our daughter is a monkey as well. We had a turbulent 10 years. We've been divorced since 1995. Our Minister in premarital counseling even asked what sign we were (both Sagittarius) which I found it odd that a man of faith would ask an astrology question. When we both answered "Sagittarius" at the same time, I remember him looking up to the heavens and saying, "heaven help them" - Good luck!1
