when is the best time to visit Lijiang apart from Winter?

What are the special scenery we can see during Spring and Autumn? Would prefer natural scenery like mountains, lakes. Am planning to go China for the Sakura/Cherry Blossom in Spring. So not sure if LJ is a good place for this..
