About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I am flying from the US to shanghai, am staying for one night and flying back to the US.

Since it is round trip and not third country, is a visa required or is the shirt stay visa free even though departing and returning from USA. uS passport

You do have to apply for a visa for this.
