A Canadian citizen now travelling in Asia Needs Shanghai visa

Hello, I am now travelling in Thailand, then Myanmar then Singapore then Bali. My flight returning to Canada has me in Shanghai for 4 days. How can I get a visa? Can I do it over the Internet. Or could I. Do it easily at an embassy or consulate office?
Appreciate your help.
Tank you.

Visa can not be done over internet, but you can try to apply in Thailand for a transit visa, or Myanmar, Singapore with your passport and flight ticket.

Thank you for the information. If you have any knowledge as to how time-consuming the visit to offices in those places suggested might be, that info would also be helpful. Appreciate your quick response.very much.
