About:Chinese Consulates in South Korea

Hi, I want to visit china from korea.

I'm a British national working in south Korea. I'm about to come to the end of my current contract and was hoping to go across to China to visit my friend working there and then travel down through Asia etc etc. I didnt really have any specific travel itenirary in mind.

I had no idea of the requirement to have 6 months left on a current Korean ARCard. Is there anyway of going to China now?

Yes, according to the requirements on embassy's website, you need provide 6 months or more on the ARC for Chinese visa application. You'd better contact the local travel agency since they own the latest and reliable list of requirements.

This is based on the the mutual agreement, Chinese need to apply through travel agency to get visa to Korea as well. About the 6 months validity of the ARC, this is general requirement to apply in a third country. They only issued visa to foreigners with residence or work permit with extended stay in the country.
