About:Jinshanling Great Wall

Good idea to hike Jinshanling during Winter (January)?

My husband and I plan to visit (hike) early January. But we've been told that it can be very cold as this section of the great wall is further from Beijing. Is it a good idea to choose this section for an early January visit or should we go to Mutianyu instead?

Yes, it is very cold in Jan. The temperature is generally under 0C. Well, Jinshanling Great Wall is really wirth visiting. You can go there at that period, but better on a fine day. You also need to wear warm and windproof clothes when climb the wall.
