What are the possible things happen to Z visa if you submit it late into the embassy..

Good day..
My Z visa document, is already in my position that was sent, and was settled by my employer to be in China, while I'm still here abroad working. Now I will leave my present employer, and there's might be possible that I cannot catch the required date for submission, that's attached on the documents. What might be the possible things happen to Z visa, if I will submit it to the Chinese embassy in the Philippines, late? Please assist, and give info regarding about this matter.. Thank you so much..
