About:China Visa Exemption

im a Candian citizen with a layover in Shanghai

Coming from Japan Narita airport going to Hong kong but have a 22hr layover at Shanghai before going to Hong kong, I was wondering if i need a visa or anything to leave the airport and go to the city?

You do not need visa for this transit. And you can also go out of the airport to the city.
