Hello, I am going to Shanghai on 12-19, how many layers of clothing do I need, and do I need a heavy down jacket? or just a light wool sweater will suffice?

The temperature may be about 10~18C at that time. It is a bit cold, especially in the early morning and at night.  You'd better prepare wool sweaters, thick coats and warm trousers.
