Worried about altitude sickness

I am planning to . go to Shangrila from Lijiang during early December. My group comprise of 2 teenagers, 5 adults aged 50+ and my parents age 76 and 85. I wonder if it is advisable to make the journey.

While, if someone in your group has heart or hypertension problem, you'd better do not go to Shangrila. Anyway, before travelling, it is better for you all to have some suggestions from your doctors, then make your decision.
