how is the great wall managed?. Is there a limited amount of people that can be there at one time?

It is proposed to limite the amount of visitors to Badaling Great Wall within 53,300 per day and 16,000,000 per year in order to pretect the wall and its landscape. However, It seems has not been put into operation yet.
