residence permit after entry

How long is the validity of my Z visa?  The school that I am working with is processing my residence permit. Will there be an effect if I don't have it after a month that I arrived here in China? Thank you!

Hi, you need to get the residence permit within 30 days after entry. That is to say, the duration of a single entry Z visa is 30 days. If you can not get the permit in time, you need to get your visa extended.
