how much currency one can take being on tourist visa to china??

what other dos and dont are really need to keep in mind..!!

5,000 US dollars or 20,000 CNY is permitted. you need to declare to the customs if more than that. You have to register at hotel or local police within 24 hours after entry. Never overstay on your visa.
