I am travelling from high speed train from Hangzhou to Shanghai railway station. I wish to know which railway station is the nearer to the city downtown. As i have only 1 day to go round the city so i wish to explore more fascinating places as well as looking for good restaurant in the city.

The original train station is near to Huangpu District, but now all the bullet trains from Hangzhou reach Hongqiao Railway Station and after that you can take the subway line 2 to reach Nanjing West and East Road in a short time. It will not take you a long time to take the subway, so you will have enough time to arrange your routes in SH.
