About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Will it to be a work visa?

1- I am an independent photographer and I want to enter China, 4 other Asian countries, and England to take pictures for calendars and posters. Will this necessitate a WORK visa? And, will it state that I am in the country to take pictures (if such information will assist me with all national and local authorities should it be needed)?

2- I am primarily interested in visiting the mthuangshan, shangri-la, yellow-dragon's 5 colors pond, zhangjiajie, and jiuzhaigou regions. With watching many Chinese and Asian movies, and one tourist DVD, I have seen some absolutely beautiful country that I would like to visit, and take pictures of to share with others. It is my desire to photograph these regions in all 4 seasons to fully reveal the total beauty of these magnificent landscapes as they transform back and forth with the changing seasons. To do this I think that the 1 - 2 year MULTIPLE ENTRY visa is the one that I need to apply for? Is this correct, and will they issue such a visa for this purpose?

3 - There are two friends that I have which could arrange for me to stay short periods of time with their friends while I am in China, the rest of the time will be spent in commercial accommodations as I can arrange while in the regions that are not close to them. I do not have a set itinerary for a 2 year period to provide at this time with 6 counties to consider. WHAT KIND of information do I provide as to lodging arrangements for my stays in China?

Thank you for taking the time to consider my questions, and provide me with an answer.

1. a tourist visa is enough for you.

2. I think you may just apply for a single entry visa, since only the Chinese citizens' spouses and children with American nationality, as well as the Chinese American born in China (including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau) and their spouses and children, are eligible to apply for a long-term valid "L" visa with multiple-entries.

3. If you can't provide proof of accommodation in China, you may ask your friends to write an invitation letter to you and state that you will stay at their home.
