for applying for Chinese VISA can email copy of invitation be submitted or is FAX copy required?

I am invited by UNEP Tongji Institute in Shanghai from 26th oct. to 8th Nov. 2012 for attending a training programme sponsored fully by SIDA, SWEDEN

Hi, email copy or fax copy are not acceptable. You need to provide the original of the invitation letter and a photocopy.
