heading guangxi med uni at the end of october, any places where english speaking people

From what I gather, very few locals speak English so I was wondering if there are any places, cafes, shops, restaurants, bars, hotels where I can meet other English speakers to help me settle in. I'm sure there will be people in the university also who speak English but in case I am visiting the city of Nanning.
