About:Shanghai Long-Distance Bus

Going to Shanghai on Fri 9/28, and leaving to Nanjing on Sat 9/29.

I know its beginning of golden week. Should I have a problem getting bus ticket or train ticket to Nanjing on my arrival date? Thanks

There are many high speed trains running daily frequently from Shanghai to Nanjing. It is OK for you to buy the train ticket upon arrival.

Trains are always heavily booked at this time - getting a ticket on short notice will not be easy even though there are many trains to Nanjing. They get heavily booked in both first and second class 10 days in advance around these holiday periods. You need a passport these days to make the booking although our ticket shop accepts a scanned passport copy because we are well known there. If you have a friend they should try and get the ticket earlier than the day before you want to travel at this time.
