What are the side attractions in Xiamen. What can I enjoy as American going to China first time.

There are various scenic spots and cultural relics in Xiamen. Among them, the most attractive place should be the Gulangyu Island. The South Putuo tourist area is also famous. Another remarkable tourist area is Jimei, the hometown of Mr. Tan Kah Kee (Chen Jiageng), an outstanding educator and leader of overseas Chinese.
