About:China Visa

May I obtain a tourist visa with neither a roundtrip air ticket nor a letter of invitation?

My initial plan is to fly from the US to Hanoi, and to proceed by land to southern China. The airfare expense seems to be somewhat less by this method, leaving more to be spent in China.

Hi James, I am afraid not. You'd better provide one of these documnets as required. This is now a worldwide requirement for China visa application.
