I have a male rat, who Im very very fond of, but I'm a rabbit, are we doomed?

I'be made a lot (3) of mistakes, choosing the wrong men, but now I'be met a man who is everything I'be ever looked for, and more, but now it says a rat n a rabbit are the worse for each other,,is there no chance?
