east china airlines transiting passanger arrangement for hotel at hongqiao -lay over

Question

Travelling from Kolkata- India to Tokyo Hanida.Long lay over at Hongqiao International Airport.We like to know   (a). as to whether the Airlines make arrangements for the transit passangers Hotel /or other accommodation at the transiting  AIRPORT  (b). We are 4 Indians- from one family - all senior citizens-but NO support  required - for exploring the marvellous City whether without any formal VISA are we permitted  or not permitted what type of Visa i.e.,TRANSIT or TOURIST  is required   (c)  Since direct confirmed ticket with the same Airlines is there,whether TRANSIT VISA is available at the arriving Airport  ?

You can find lounges for the old, the weak, the pregnant and the disabled in the airport. There are also VIP Lounges there: one opposite the Security Check on 3F; Room V1-3 next to Boarding Gate 24, M2; Room 4-6 next to the Information Desk on.  However, they are not special for East China Airlines passengers. You'd better call your airlines to consult about this.  If you want to explore the city during your transfer time, you need to get a transit visa in advance. If you just stay inside the airport, you do not need any visa. Usually, it is hard to get a transit visa on arrival.
