About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Does a Philippine resident going to Macau (for 2 nights via Hongkong) need a visa to Macau/Hongkong?

I am a US citizen from California travelling with a Philippine resident to Macau from Manila (for 2 nights via Hongkong). Do we need a Chinese Visa for the this vacation?

US passport holders are exempt from visa to HK for 90 days and Macao for 30 days. With Philippines passport, visa is also not required to HK for 14 days and Macao for 30 days.
