About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

I have an Attestation from the UN, will this suffice to get a visa for China ?

There will be an Assessment Training to be held in Beijing, China on Sept. 2-7, 2012 by the United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) wherein China is the sponsor. I have an Attestation from UNDAC. Will this suffice to get a visa because I may not be able to fulfill all the requirements, as first time applicant, to secure a visa on time for the scheduled training ?

Yes, It's possible for you to get a China business visa. Besides the Attestation, you also need to provide your Filipino passport that should be with over six months validity and more than two blank pages left, China visa application form that should be completely and truly filled and signed by yourself, two -way air ticket and hotel booking in China.

I can not download a visa form and I do not know if I need to apply for the visa on line. I am running out of time because it is holiday (August 20-21, 2012) here in the Philippines and there are no offices and there is a waiting time for about 5-6 working days before I can get my visa. My itinerary is, I am supposed to depart Manila on September 2, 2012.

You need to install install Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 or high vision and 2 the Chinese Language Package of Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the application form online. Visa can not be processed online. If time is limited, you can use rush service, which you are able to pick up your visa on the second working day.

Hi Starsky,

There is now a 1day processing of visa (super rush) though costing double the regular rate. You can have a travel agent to facilitate the queuing at the embassy if you wont have time by yourself. Your attestation might even qualify under the "courtesy lane" of the embassy which doesnt have a long line.
