New category G High speed trains. I want to travel Shanghai to Beijing. Questions; Are these day time only trains; Is journey approx 5 hours; What is price for VIP seat; What is price for 1st class (Business) 2 abreast seats. Yes, you are right. All the G-trains from Shanghai to Beijing operates during the day time from Hongqiao Railway Station to Beijing South Railway Station. The whole journey will cost people about five hours and a half. The VIP seat price is 1055 RMB and the ticket prices for the first class seat and second class seat are 935 RMB and 555 RMB respectively. You can book the ticket in other railway stations in Shanghai and you can buy this ticket at any place where you buy the common trains.
