About:Chinese Embassy in Ghana

Can a relative sponsor someone's education in China

Hi sir!
I am Ernest. I submitted my document for student visa last Monday and the lady at the cater told me that my uncle who is sponsoring me can not be my Sponsor except myself and my biological parents. Meanwhile you've not stated it at your requirement for student visa application on your web page that apart from self and parents bank statement No other person can sponsor student applicant. Please I would like to know if it is true that my uncle can't sponsor me and for that matter i can't use his bank statement for visa application? Thank you.

It is not true, Ernest. At least it is not required in other countries that the sponsor should only be applicants' parents. You'd better try again or apply through a travel agency instead.

HI Baron! thanks for responding to my question. But please I still need your help. I have got admission at Nanjing University of information Science and Technology do offer my masters program, and the deadline for registration is September 1, 2012. Sir I have been to the embassy in Ghana for 2times and this at the cater has made me do court attestation twice which has cost me 50 USD. Please my difficulty is not about the money since he is ready to send me the money but now my uncle who is sponsoring me has gone but to USA, I can't get his passport and submit it with my documents to the embassy even though I have the photocopy of his passport inside my documents already. Sir, is it this same lady i'm going to meet at the embassy? please help me to get the visa in order for me to continuing my education. Please I am writing this with reference to my earlier question I asked can my uncle be my sponsor. Thank you.

Sorry Ernest, I am helpless in such an situation. You'd better contact the visa officers directly if they must check the originals from your uncle.
