About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

My partner is a New Zealander and has a NZ passport, what do they need to provide for a tourist visa

New Zealander's do not need an Australian visa to live and work in Australia as well as entry record so i am a little confused to the process for him? Does he just provide his passport and maybe proof he resides in Australia?

Yes, you may provide proof of residence issued by the local government in Australia as the assistance for the China visa application. You'd better confirm this with the visa office directly before submitting his visa application.
