Plan to go to Hong Kong this November for 3 nites. We also plan to visit Macau for a nite staying at Venetian Hotel. Is it ample time to visit Macau because the next day plan to visit Shenzhen.

If you want to appreciate the whole scenery in Macau, I think you need one day. But if you have one afternoon and a night, that will be enough.
However, for a night, you can definitely visit some famous and representative place in Macau.
The hotel you live in is worth to see. It is not only hotel, but a center for shopping, entertainment and dining there.
Then you can visit the Ruins of St Paul. The Ruins of St Paul and the Senado Square are very close to each other, so you can travel there at the same time.
Besides, there are other places that are worth to see, and you can refer here https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/macau/ to find some interesting places that you want to see.
