Chinese visa needed to change terminals while making an international transfer?

Hello,
I have seen that no visa is needed for an international transfer with a stop over less than 24 hours. However, if I am changing the airlines and therefore the terminals, with picking up my luggage in between, will I have to pass the immigration and customs control somewhere on the way out and/or in? Will I still not need a Chinese visa in order to do that? Please clarify, many thanks in advance!

For such a transfer within 24 hours, you do not need a visa. You also have no need to pass the immigration and customs check. Just need to claim your luggage and recheck-in it, then goto get your boarding pass and wait for your next flight.
