Renewing a Canadian passport in China

I will be receiving my new passport tomorrow. I assume I will have to go to Entry/Exit Bureau to optain my exit visa. HOWEVER, as I have immediate business trips to Macau and Hong Kong before returning to China, is it possible to acquire a single re-entry visa from the Entry/Exit Bureau, so as to avoid spending an extra two days in HK/Macau getting this? Moreover I'll have to renew my visa in Chengdu eventually in the next month, as that's where my marriage is registered.

What China visa do you have now? Do you have China residence permit?
