About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I am going on a visit to mainland China and then to H.K. Would I need a multiple entry visa

Would a single entry visa be permitted for going to both China mainland and H.K?

With Canadian passport, you are not required visa to HK for maximum stay of 90 days. But if you will return to mainland China after visiting HK, you need another entry on your China visa. So, you need to apply China visa according to your entry times.
