chinese visa in hong kong for filipino girlfriend

Question

I am Travelling  to China on business (i hold UK passport) and would like my girlfriend to join me. We have travelled to Vietnam and Malaysia several times with no issues.I am a little concerned about getting her application rejected or experiencing a delay in processing at Hong Kong AirportWe have all the relevant documents , return tickets NBI proof of funding (by me) etc. any advice , thoughts on this matter. thanks

You'd better apply for the China ahead of your trip to China in the place where your Filipino girlfriend is living.  I heard that it's impossible for filipinos to apply for a China visa in Hk recently.
