Chinese visa in Hong Kong for Filipino girlfriend

I am Travelling to China on business (i hold UK passport) and would like my girlfriend to join me. We have travelled to Vietnam and Malaysia several times with no issues.I am a little concerned about getting her application rejected or experiencing a delay in processing at Hong Kong Airport

We have all the relevant documents , return tickets NBI proof of funding (by me) etc. any advice , thoughts on this matter. thanks
