expected temperature in Ordos between 11 - 19 August 2012; what clothes are suitable & currency

It will not be so hot, but rains a lot at that time. Short clothes are enough, but you still need to prepare some long sleeved clothes in case of the rainy days and the big difference in temperature.
As for the currency, CNY is available at that place.2
