About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I have a lady who is philipino and works in china right now.She wants to get a tourists visa.

She says she needs to have $300 in her account to show the canadian embassy that she has money to come is that true?

It should be true, since the embassy of Canada in China does require the applicants to provide financial proof of adequate funds to cover their duration in Canada for a tourist visa application.
