Visa Double Entries

Hi just got a double entries visa from Tokyo-Shanghai-India return. On the way, I'll be having 5 hours transit in Shanghai before Delhi flight. Is it possible to get out from the airport & back before the flight to Delhi? I'll be staying 2 nights in Shanghai on the way back from Delhi, is it consider a single entry? and will take the transit as the other entry?

It is actually two entries. Howeve, Japanese passport holders are exempt from visa to China for less than 15 days for each entry. Thus, I don't think you need any visa for this travel.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your answer. However, I'm not a Japanese but my passport is New Zealand so it needs a Visa. My question was for the Chinese Visa rules if I'm allowed to get out of the airport for my transit time (5 hours wait). I've purchased a double entries, one should be for my 2 nights stay and maybe I can use the other entry for transiting?

Cheers,

Mariz

Yeah, you can just use the double entry China visa - one entry for the 5-hour transit and the other for the 2 nights stay.
