i am a seafarer & will join a cruise ship in shanghai for vacation how to apply cn visa

i will be joining my partner in a Holland America line ship in Shanghai, Oct. 17, 2012 when their ship docks there. I am in Holland America Rotterdam Ship at this time and Oslo, Norway is one of our ports. I would like to apply for a Transit Chinese Visa, how and when can i apply? Thank you

How many ports your ship will stop mainland China? if shanghai only, a single entry China tourist visa is enough. If the intended entry date is Oct. 17, you can apply China visa in August from Chinese embassy at Holmenveien 5, VinderenOffice Hours of consular office: 09:00-11:30.
