We will accompany with his father who is a Taiwanese and we are not married yet...meaning we will meet in shanghai..(His father will from Taiwan) We just want to spent time together in shanghai since i never been there..I would like to know if im applying visa L with my son, do i need to submit the visa L requirements #4? since nobody invites us...We are planning to find place to stay upon arrival in Shanghai since my husband can speak chinese. Another thing, what about bank statements? which bank statement i should provide? mine or my husband? If you have no sponsor, you need to provide hotel reservation in China instead. Because you are not married, I think you may unable to get a visa for your son since you can't get a DSWD Travel Clearance for him. For visa application itself, it is ok to provide your bank statement.

You'd better contact your DSWD directly if you need to get a Travel Clearance for you son. This is the problem you have now. China Tourist Visa requirements are simple as what listed on this website, which I think may not difficult for you to get.
