Hi, you can apply a visa at the Consulate General of Japan in Shanghai. It is required to apply through visa application agent. The authorized agent list is on this website: http://www.shanghai.cn.emb-japan.go.jp/cn/apply/daiko.html (in Chinese)

Hi, I am a Filipino and working in Jiangxi Province. I have inquired the link that you have posted but they said that they cannot help me apply for a Japan visa. Is there any other way for applying for a Japan Visa?

I checked the information Melissa provides and it is correct that you need to ask some agency to help you to get your visa in Jiangxi Province.

If they cannot do it, it is suggested to contact the Japan Embassy in China directly. Their contact number is 010-8531-9800. I am sure you can get the information you want to know from them.
