chinese visa from india for uk citizen

Is it possible to obtain a chinese visa in dehli for a uk citizen? I am planning a round the world trip and hope to apply for my visa to china when I am in Dehli. Would this be a problem, and would there be any additional information/documentation I would require when applying. I am planning to fly from Kathmandu, Nepal into China. Would it be better to get the visa in Kathmandu?? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

To inform you that a single entry China is valid for 3 months after issuance. So, if time and travel itinerary permits, you'd better apply in advance in UK. To apply in other country, you may required to provide the original and a copy of permanent residence or work permit. And it is very difficult to get one in Kathmandu.
