extend my residence permit within China

helllooo...every one.........i have one question....plese please rply me..............i am a indian medical student..studying in china....i will graduate very soon..but my resident permit will expire on 30th june...and i have docouments work in beijing.....all my friends leaving for beijing on 27th june after that it will take aroung 7 days in beijing to finish all work.....and i have to also go with them for all these work.....i gave my passport to my university to apply my tourist visa,but they are very busy these days......and from 22-24th dragon boat festival is there can any one please tell me that can i get my tourist visa upto july 15th before 30th june and in dragon boat festival/saturday & sunday visa work can be done means in visa office they will do or it will be close???? how many days takes to get tourist visa in china???please ply me someone correctly with proper guidence please plzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......................................

You can visit the local PSB personally, and apply for an extension of your residence permit to a tourist visa by yourself. Generally, you can get 30 days L visa with 0 entry. Make sure DO NOT mention for business purpose. The processing takes 4 working days regularly, you can ask for rush or express service if you need. You can submit your application now asap or on Monday, 25 th, June.

thank you so much for ur rply.......my teacher submitt my passport for tourist visa 0n 20th june 2012......... but from 22- 24 dragon boat festival in china so i dont when i can get it.....can you tell me when i can get my passport with visa...can i get it on 26th june 2012.....??????? oh the day of applying for visa in police station they count their working from that day right or the next day??? plzzz telll me...m very much worried....... is there any other thing we can do for it to make it fast?????????plzzzzzzzz plzzzzzzz plzzzzzzz rply soonn........very much thankfull to you...........

If your teacher has submitted the application on your behalf, there should be a pick-up receipt or somethign similar to indicate the exact time you get the visa and your passport back. You may ask your teacher to help to push the process. Good Luck!
