About:Chinese Embassy in Poland

Polish friend visiting

Hello! I have a friend from Poland. She's Polish and she's thinking of having a trip here for 2 weeks. Do I need to make an invitation letter for her? I'm not Chinese but I have a temporary resident visa here in China cos I work here. What can I do to help her?

with polish passport, it is easy for her to get a tourist visa to China. It is easier if she can provide a Confirmation Letter from a Chinese Travel Agency or a Round-trip Airline Ticket. So, it is not necessary to send her your invitation letter.

Great! Thanks Alvin for the quick response. Anyhow, I forgot to ask you one thing. Does she need to make a hotel reservation? What if she'll stay in my apartment? What do I have to do?

Hotel reservation is helpful. But if she will live in your apartment, you need to send her an invitation letter, written in it that you will provide accommodation for her. As to my knowledge, hotel reservation for one or two nights is ok for visa application if reservation is required.

Oh, thanks Alvin. But here's the thing, I'm actually living in Xi'An. But her plane arrives in Beijing. Would that even matter in the invitation letter? I wouldn't let her get tickets from Warsaw to Xi'An cos it cost a lot. I was thinking we could get a train from Beijing to Xi'An. Does she need to present her ticket from Beijing to Xi'An as well?? thanks!

Great!! Thanks Alvin. So, she's thinking of coming in November. When do you think is the proper time for her to get her visa? Is it possible to apply for the visa as early as next month though she'll be coming in November? is it too early?

A single entry China visa is valid for 3 months from issue date. So, don't apply too early. If she will come in November, she should better apply for a visa in September or October.
