Hi, my husband and I have a stopover in Shanghai for 17 hours. I hold Russian passport and he holds Iranian. Do we need to get a transit visa to go out of the airport to go to the hotel and just visiting the city?
Thanks

If you plan to go out of the airport and visit the city during stopover, you both need to apply for a China transit visa in advance.
