I want to visit china as tourist?

I want to visit in china as tourist but i dont have any relative in china but i do have friends in china and they are chinese citizens and native chinese and i am pakistani. i want to visit them and being my friends they will not allow me to live in any hotel because they want me to live with them in their home so even i deny and go for hotel so still they will push me to stay with them. the bottom line is, i want to visit china as tourist and i dont have any relative in china to show in required documents as family visit but i have friends with whom i will stay in china.

kindly let me know that in my case how should i apply for chinese tourist visa as i can not provide proof of any relative in china as i dont have any and i can not provide hotels booking receipts as i will stay in my friend's home but i can provide my bank statement, my passport, my police clearance certificate , my Photos, my return tickets, identity and references of my chinese friends.

kindly suggest me how to proceed and what are the requirements in my case?

hey umer yes your explanation is completely clear but even though you have friends they cannot help you in getting a visa one way is one of your friend must send you an invitation letter and approved it from the government authority but its not easy. I am married to my Chinese wife when she try to do this kind of invitation letter they told her they cannot give the stamp just for one person but we marry and I am here in China now and got the visa for 1 year but I got it again from here China Shanghai for 6 months because 1 year only 30 days duration . So as you know if you don't have any relatives its very hard to enter to China .No matter you have bank statements anything this is Chinese Policy . Good luck to you umer

HI, you can ask your Chinese friend send you an invitation letter, and photocopy of the inviter's identity documents such as passport, identity card or residence booklet, etc.

Then with this two documents and the documents you have mentioned, you can apply a tourism visa.

@Melissa: thanks for your reply but let me which 2 documents you are talking about and the invitation letter you have mentioned so is it an invitation letter which is same for business visa? I mean what type of letter it would be? And how sure you are about this procedure?

@Roshan: thanks friend for the reply, I have friend there and I am going there to meet my girl friend and some friends as well, but I don't know anyone who can provide me the invitation letter for business visa and then I thought tourist visa would be easier to apply but again the requirements shows that I should have a relative in china which I don't have right now and as far as invitation letter is concern for business visa I can not help myself in it as well. Kindly suggest me what I can do or anyone out there can help in this?

Umer, I just confirmed the procedure with a Pakistan friend who come to China before. He said that your friend can not get the invitation letter sealed at the government authority. Now, the only way for you is to join a tourist group (more than 5 people), which should be arranged through a qualified local travel agency. They will prepare the letter for you.
