what type of visa do i need to visit china for less than 30 days as a canadian citizen?

form V2011A or an L visa?

what is total cost to me for regular 4 day type to obtain

You need a L visa, and applying L visa requires filling in the visa application form V2011A; the cost is 50 CAD.
