Do you need a visa to stop over at the Dazhong Airport Hotel at Shanghai Airport.

I will be travelling back from Sydney to UK using China Eastern with an overnight (19.00 - 12.00) layover between flights. Does anyone know if I need a visa (of any type) to stop overnight at the Dazhong Airport Hotel, which is apparently on the airport between terminals 1 and 2? I am a UK passport holder.
