Hi, Emily, you must apply for a residence permit at the local public security authorities within 30 days of entry into China. Permit holders may stay in China and enter or exit China multiple times without the need of a visa during the validity period of the permit.
Provided you have got the residence permit, you can go to other countries and need not another visa to re-enter China.0
